Sowing Solidarity

We are inviting two human rights defenders from the Philippines, Amanda Echanis and Atty. Sol Taule, to do a presentation on the situation in the Philippines. Everyday the presence of US-backed military grows stronger in the Filipino countryside, and we want to urgently raise awareness of its toll on farmers and everyday Filipinos who keep our country (and the world) fed. This event is incredibly special because Amanda was wrongly imprisoned for her advocacy for Filipino farmers, and through solidarity campaigns was finally freed.
