Stem cell transplants offer "the last chance of life" for many blood cancer patients. There’s a serious shortage of young stem cell donors (aged 18-35) and therefore we started a campaign to inform young people about the importance of stem cell donation.
Registration happens through filling in a questionnaire and taking swabs, which will obtain a bit of your cheek mocosa. Being registered as a donor, doesn’t mean that you will be asked to donate your cells. Since finding a match between patient and donor is so rare, only 1% of the registered people will donate their cells.
Join us to sign up as a stem cell donor at De Sering on April 23, between 18:00 and 22:00 & follow our campaign @mijwelbellenvoorstamcellen. We will bring the swabs, so you can register in less than 10 minutes.
See you there!
