This one is for anyone who’s ever daydreamed big, made a fresh start, or had life veer way off script. la-la-land(ed) is all about charting the gap between the dreams you have right now or once had — and where you actually landed.

Maybe you moved cities, switched careers, ended a relationship, or started completely over. Maybe you’ve built idealistic visions in your head, only to have reality crash in different (sometimes better, sometimes messier) ways. Sometimes we escape into these little la-la lands to cope, and sometimes we figure out how to come back, start over, or remix our dreams.

*In this session:*

• Make a collage about the dreams you’ve chased, changed, let go of, or reinvented.
• Map out the difference between what you imagined and what really happened — how it felt to crash, land, or just aim for something new.
• Explore the “alternate realities” in your head: the places you retreated to when real life felt too much, and what it means to return.
• No art experience needed! Bring your humour, honesty, and whatever scraps feel right.

*What to expect:*

• Beginner-friendly prompts to help you get started.
• Space to play, laugh, vent, or just create something yours.
• A laid-back vibe where everyone’s expression is welcome.

By the end, you’ll have a page (or several!) that marks a dream, detour, or landing, soft or not. Just show up — delulu or grounded, resettled or still a bit lost. We’re here for it.
