On June 13th at De Sering we are hosting a fundraiser gig with crafting and live music!
We are urgently raising funds for our friend to be able to stay in the Netherlands (this is the GoFundMe https://gofund.me/4051e6c1) 🫶🏻
Come early to get some delicious De Sering dinner (donation based) and do some fabric upcycling! Bring your own needles, threads, and potential projects - we will have some fabrics to get creative with 🪡
Stick around to see two beautiful performances by Isabella Blu and Mother Johnson in the event corner, where you can buy a ticket at the entrance!
Originally from Montréal, Canada, singer-songwriter Isabella Blu brings energy and passion to the stage with original folk songs that carry undertones of a punk-rock DIY ethos. In 3-piece band form, bouncy, groovy bass lines and thundering drums accompany Blu’s melody-driven vocals and raw acoustic guitar playing.
Amidst a world that grows increasingly digital and uncertain, Isabella Blu wishes to emphasize the power of human connection and to remind us of our agency in shaping culture.
The five children of Mother Johnson present a playful blend of sad rock, happy indie, and sad-happy indie rock that overlies lyrics exploring very deep themes, and not so very deep themes. What else could you ask for?
Doorsale is on a sliding scale €5-15 (please reach out if you would benefit from a cheaper ticket). Bring cash or tikkie! See you all on Friday 💕
