Painting the Moment presents a series of live works by Tio, created during live performances where the canvas became a meeting point of sound, movement, breath, and emotion. These works weren’t planned or rehearsed — each painting emerged spontaneously in the presence of others, shaped by the atmosphere of the room: jazz rhythms, ambient synths, candlelit stillness, whispered conversations, and the unpredictable choreography of people simply being together.
Rather than capturing still images, Tio’s paintings hold residue — of energy, of fleeting connection, of the body responding to the now. Whether the canvas was wired to microphones or layered with unconventional materials like wax, sand, or hemp, the process was always one of improvisation: a real-time dialogue between artists, environments, and audiences.
Each piece presented is the trace of a night lived. A document of presence. A remnant of something unrepeatable. You are invited to experience these works not just as viewers, but as a late arrival to these moments still echoing. Come close. Tune in.
